Stone Palette

Sapphire

Known for its deep, royal blue, but also available in every color of the rainbow. Extremely durable (9 on the Mohs scale) and perfect for everyday rings.

Ruby

The stone of passion, ranging from vibrant pinkish-red to deep "pigeon blood" red. A sister stone to the sapphire, it is equally durable and timeless.

Emerald

Famous for its lush green hues and unique internal "gardens" (inclusions). Best suited for pendants or earrings that see less daily impact.

Modern Alternatives

Moissanite: A lab-created stone with even more "fire" and rainbow-sparkle than a diamond. It is nearly as hard as a diamond, making it an excellent durable alternative.

Surface Area: Elongated shapes like Ovals, Pears, and Marquises often look larger than a Round Brilliant of the same carat weight because they take up more space on the finger.
Depth Matters: Shapes like the Emerald Cut are "step-cuts" and carry more weight in their bottom (pavilion). They may appear slightly smaller from the top view compared to a Round diamond.
